Agua by Agua Bendita gorgeous pieces consciously honour its origins, and the brand committed to sustainability. Every element incorporated into the brand is inspired by Latin America’s enchanting biodiversity and culture.

In 2003, co-founders, Mariana Hinestroza and Catalina Álvarez, came together to handcraft swimsuits for their friends and family in Medellin, Colombia. Shortly after, their undeniable creativity and entrepreneurial spirit drove them to establish Agua Bendita, sister label and one of the first Colombian brands to export local fashion.

In 2018, seeking to take their admiration for artisanship and their profound love for Latin America to new heights, Mariana and Catalina created Agua by Agua Bendita, an environmentally conscious label that pays tribute to the allure of Latin America and reveres artisanal designs.

The Agua woman is from anywhere in the world. She is a natural beauty who prefers wearing little to no makeup and keeps her hair wavy and undone. She’d rather be barefoot, her feet against white sand or soft blades of grass. She’s an ever-curious intellectual, eager to learn more about the world around her.
